Automobile Engineering

Automobile Engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with designing, manufacturing, mechanical mechanisms as well operations of automobiles. It is also an introduction to vehicle engineering which includes cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, etc.

There are a host of job opportunities for an automobile engineer in production plants, service stations of automobile companies, automobile manufacturing industries, motor vehicle departments of control, transport companies, insurance company experts, and state transport corporations, etc. the students are taught to be experts in CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM, and therefore one can easily join designing companies as designers of the automobile. The automobile industry in India is concentrated in Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Gurgaon, Indore, Sanand, and Manesar.

The Department of Automobile Engineering was established in academic the year 2018. Keeping in view the demand for automobile engineers the department has the vision to enrich the knowledge of students and update the latest technology in automobile engineering. The department has a team of highly qualified and well-experienced faculty and staff members of proven ability and administrative skills.

The Department of Automobile Engineering has got well-equipped laboratories such as Automobile Servicing Lab, Petrol Engine Service Lab, Diesel Engine Service Lab, Auto Electrical Lab, Two & Three Wheeler Service Lab, CAD Lab, and Vehicle Testing Lab. Other basic laboratories like –Manufacturing lab, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, and Automobile Engineering Lab have also been developed and are backed up by a modern workshop containing Carpentry, Smithy, Fitting, Welding, Machine Shop, and Foundry Shop that cater to the needs of the students.

The department provides opportunities for industrial exposure and placement tie-ups with various automobile companies.

Apart from academics Automobile engineering department is active in extracurricular activities like arts & sports. The department has an automobile association of students named “AUTO SAPIENS” which coordinates all the activities of the department. It is also meant to improve the leadership qualities and team spirit of the students.
