Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering occupies a unique position at the interface between molecular sciences and engineering. Chemical Engineering fundamentals draw from physics, chemistry, mathematics, and increasingly biology, which are combined with engineering art to understand and control molecular and macroscopic processes in these diverse systems. Chemical Engineering, in essence, concerns the economic design and operation of chemical plants. Chemical engineers sometimes are called ‘universal engineers’ because of their broad scientific and technical mastery in all areas of engineering.
