Indira Gandhi Polytechnic College located at Perumbavoor is a self-financing institution established in the year 2018 by Shri. K M Pareeth is an educationalist and a politician. It has well-equipped laboratories and the latest machinery, well-qualified faculties with good and innovative teaching experience.

The institute is determined to inculcate in the students the spirit of positive attitude, self-respect, discipline, and an urge to become competent and successful professionals. We aim at imparting sound technical knowledge to our students in accordance with Industrial Standards and this has helped our students to develop strong technical and managerial skills.

Keeping the contemporary global and national context in mind, we, at Indira Gandhi Polytechnic, strive to make the pursuit of excellence a way of life; a habit. Our vision is to work in partnership with our pupils, parents, and the community at large to create a positive and inclusive environment for high-quality teaching-learning where everyone is valued and respected. In recent years our strength has almost filled and this enables us to know that we are empowered by the unwavering trust that parents have in this institution.

Active participation of students with expert guidance from faculty members in the classrooms and laboratories will enable them to grasp the finer points of engineering practices.
Both the teaching fraternity and the management team are amiable and affectionate. All amenities like Computer Labs with internet facilities, a library, and laboratories, hostels, transports, etc. function in full swing to make the students perform well.

The meritorious and poor students are also economically supported by scholarships from the Indira Gandhi group. We have a broad vision of developing the most ordinary of students into technical professionals, who will remain relevant in the current as well as future global challenges. We are confident that the students passing out from this college will be technically sound, confident, and have good leadership skills.
