Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for the analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.

The Department of mechanical engineering started in the year 2018 offers a three-year diploma course, with an annual intake capacity of 60. This department comprises well-equipped faculties, experienced supporting staff & adequate laboratories, and workshops. The students are provided with exposure committed to excellence in academics, with ample opportunities for knowledge acquisition, thereby meeting the changing global needs.

The department has evolved over time to keep up with the ever-increasing challenges in technology development while maintaining a strong base in the fundamental aspects of Mechanical Engineering. The course is focused mainly on industry The Department prepares the students for three years for the various manufacturing industries in the public and private sectors. Prepares the students for self-employment in areas such as repair, maintenance, refrigeration and air- conditioning, and fabrication of steel. We focus on imparting technical and practical knowledge to the student.
